It’s a totally unexpected PageRank update for Webmasters – before the year end! No one had expected a new Google Toolbar PageRank update after the recent one in February, 2013.
Toolbar PageRank is the ‘simplification of real PageRank’ – which is a complex algorithm. Google usually throws a new PR update on quarterly basis.

After the last PR update on February 4th, 2013; Google’s head of search spam – Matt Cutts had confirmed that there won’t be any PageRank Update from Google before the year 2014 – but this new PR update happened shockingly on December 6th! Yes, it was late; and rare too.
From December 6th, 2013 – the Google Toolbar PageRank values have been updated.
